What is the problem?
If you have set the mess to receive midi clock, then if you don’t have a midi cable plugged in, then the mess doesn’t revert back automatically to use it’s own clock.
What should this feature achieve?
I had a scare today when I couldn’t seem to get any of the presets to play their sequences, until finally remembered to plug in something to send midi clock.
The feature would achieve usability / simplicity for both internal and external clock.
Internal clock when no other clock is present.
Are there any workarounds?
The work around is to change the midi configuration each time one changes when midi clock should be heard.

Boss SL2 Slicer. Switches from internal clock to receiving clock just based on plugging in midi cable.
