Hello!
I don’t know if this topic has already been discussed in this way, but I’m having an issue with sending CC messages.
Let’s say I’m using the Play Plus to control the Minifreak.
If I send a CC message (for example to control the filter cutoff), there’s no way to cancel this action and return to a “no MIDI CC message sent” state. In other words, it will keep sending filter-opening messages, and since these messages are sent on every step, the filter knob on my synth becomes useless (because at each step it receives a filter-opening value from the Play Plus).
I would like to know whether:
-
it’s possible to work with relative values instead of fixed ones: for instance, if the Minifreak’s filter is set to 20, the CC value of the first step is 0, and the second step is 30, the output from the synth would be 20 on the first step and 50 on the second. And if I interact with the Minifreak’s filter and move it to 50, then it would be 50 and 80. Basically, a plus/minus system.
-
if this isn’t possible, I would like to be able to return to the initial “–” state instead of “0”.
This step-based CC control function is great, but the fact that touching that knob forces me to always go through it to manage my filter removes some spontaneity.
Thanks for your attention, and if the team is reading this, congratulations on this beautiful machine!
