I created an unofficial online AI manual for the Polyend MESS
It’s currently based on the V1.1.0 Manual.
I will keep this up to date with the latest official manual, anytime it’s updated
It’s a ChatGPT “GPT“
I created this for me.
It allows me to use my phone to ask questions about how to use the MESS.
Naturally, it’s answers aren’t always perfect but it’s already proven quite helpful!
Thought that others here would be interested, too.
Let me know what you think.

Is there a plan or timeline to update the MESS documentation and baseline SD Card files to reflect the latest firmware is 1.2.0
Of course, there’s a lot going on, and you’re prioritizing your time as you need to.
Updating documentation can feel like a chore. But for current and new users, it really helps to unlock and access the new capabilities that you guys worked so hard to give to us.

I’ve updated the AI Assistant & Online Interactive Manual V1.2.0 for the Polyend MESS
Firmware 1.2 adds these main features to the Polyend MESS:
-
Per-track Trails
You can now set trails separately for each of the four tracks. Options are:
Off, Only Trails, and Trails & Dry. These are saved per preset.
-
Bypass Trails
Trails can also continue when the pedal is bypassed, controlled globally from Menu > Trails.
-
Sequencer parameter retention
Changing effects no longer automatically clears or resets sequencer step parameters. There is a setting called Clean Seq on FX if you want the old behavior back.
-
Master output control
The master output level can now be controlled from the Macro knob, MIDI CC #92, or an expression pedal.
-
Tempo display shortcut
Tapping the Tempo encoder while on the main screen now quickly shows the current BPM.
The biggest practical change is Trails: reverbs, delays, and other tail-based effects can now decay naturally between active sequencer steps instead of cutting off immediately.
