MESS: per preset parallel or series settings - Feature in 1.0

What is the problem?

I cannot make different presets for different setups in my rig, also in the settings it is not indicated what mode is currently selected

What should this feature achieve?

sometimes I need parallel, sometimes in series, give me control over the config per preset please instead of changing the setup for the WHOLE machine and all presets

Are there any workarounds?

No

I am sorry if I understand your problem correctly, but I think it IS possible to choose the routing per preset. But I agree, it is not really and easily indicated in which routing mode a preset is running.

Good news, that feature is already present iirc, You can look on the upper right side of the main screen and it shows you a graphic of whether or not the patch is in serial or one of the parallel modes. The graphic is small, but it is there. The manual for the MESS is actually pretty good, i recommend checking it. Some nice tips in there, too.

I have to correct myself - at least in my (earlier) firmware version MESS doesn’t change the routing when loading a new preset, even though the corresponding, saved routing is indicated in the display. Weired behaviour. I have to doublecheck that with the newest version.

@thebigjacuzi, what firmware are you currently running on? On 1.0, the preset routing is saved per-patch. I just created 2 patches, one in series and one in dual parallel. When I switch between the 2, their proper routing is recalled.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding your request?

@etonal.de are you on the first beta or the official 1.0?

Correct Dann, this should work at 1.0, unless someone was using a beta, it was one of the last features we added before launch.

Top rigth corner indicates routing. I’m going to close this one and return your votes.

Access routing options by clicking settings - Preset Routing should be the first option.
