MESS pedal How to set specific range on expression pedal

Hello to everyone.

I have the 1.2 firmware installed.

I was able to assign parameters to my Source Audio expression pedal.

Please help me I want to set specific range on my expression pedal for example:

Track 4:

Lowest setting 10% Mix

Higher setting: 40% Mix

Right now it goes from -100 to 100% when moving it. Of course it moves gradually but I wish to do it within an assignable range.

The Gemini A.I. tells me about a Modulation Matrix within the Mess Settings which seems.doesn’t exist.

Any help appreciated.

P.S. I totally love the Mess User Interfase and the sounds and tweaking possiblities.

Asking AI about studio gear (especially newish gear) will typically give inaccurate information.

Agree. I always tell it to cite sources.

I am very satisfied with my Mess unit.

Been tweaking and fine tunning my User presets. First time embracing reverb fxs… i come from the 80s where Reverbs used to be rack units and never quite like Boss Reverbs.

To be fair Gemini did guide me into requiring a Micro sd adapter for actually downloading the firmware. I am a caveman regarding tech stuff, eventhough i am functional specimen in music fxs.

Does anyone know how I can get a response from Polyend for my question regarding Expression Pedal assigned specific range on a given fx mix or any other parameter?

Help appreciated.

Keep rocking.

Hi there @rologibson, and welcome to Backstage!

That is not possible to do within the MESS and usually is a feature you’d find in software or on the pedal itself. My pedal has a switch that can change the control value between unipolar and bipolar and has a knob that sets the range of the value.

You could also run it through a DAW that has good MIDI capabilities. With Cubase I know you can set min and max range and/or use a MIDI compressor to control the range of your CCs.

Thank you. I was afraid that it wasn’t possible.

Being certain about our own gear and using its full potential is what most of us try to do.

I can also just Duplicate my presets, one with less Effect Mix and a second one with more.

All is good, I am thankful for discovering the Polyend Mess.

I knew it could upgrade my fx sounds, I am accomplishing that each time i learn more how to use it.

Thank you for responding.
