This update brings per-track trails customization, saving sequencer positions, and additional requested controls. Trails let you shape how effects behave between active steps. Highly useful for parallel processing, rhythmic texture, and more natural reverb decay without hard cuts. Here’s what’s new.
Only Trails - dry signal is cut on inactive steps. Good for parallel effects and repeat patterns.
Trails & Dry - effect tails keep decaying on inactive steps, dry signal passes on inactive steps. Example: A reverb that ends on step 4 will continue to decay, without re-feeding the tank on the empty steps of a sequence.
Mostly in serial. And to balancing the output level I put a pan FX in the last slot. So when I press “active” that I’m not blowing my speaker through the room.
The other sensless thing is that the new output level feature is global, not per patch…
In series, you don’t need an input gain at every effect. There is an effect gain at the output of every effect, so having an input and output between each effect would be redundant. I see in parallel how it could be useful in some cases.
Yes you need an input gain for every effect, as every effect reacts different to level.
Take a distortion: more gain more distortion or the micro looper needs a threshold to react as instrument don’t have the same level on every note or take a delay…If you want a loud but short repeats you need level. Beside the fact that every effect sounds different on different input levels.
The next point is: if you can easily gain stage your effect chain and not going constantly back to the previous effect block to give the distortion more gain to distort and fighting that you can press at the end the “on/off” button and it has roughly the same level, helps in usability a lot.
Can you add Midi CC for Engage and Bypass on the next update??? pretty please, every midi enabled pedal has this basic option, to turn it on and off via a midi controller. I need to be able to turn Mess on and off with my midi controller.
okay I understand your desire not to have to switch back and forth between effects to gainstage. Please make a feature request for people to vote on if you haven’t already.
However, as it works now, say you are in series, and want to hit a drive hard after a micro looper - just boost the microlooper effect gain, which boosts the entire signal after the effect - the same as having another gain control before the drive.
