MESS: both Pitch-Shift modes: barely noticeable!?

Hi,

as there is no Forum-Category for the MESS by now, I am posting my issue here:

By building my one presets, I notice that both Pitch-Shift modes do almost nothing to the audio-signal, barely audible! I hear something very subtle and quite, but no Pitch-Shifting effect at all.
Even when I gain up the effect and mix.

Can any other MESS-owner confirm this problem?

Is that a bug that will be fixed (soon?) or is my unit damaged, or am I overlooking something?

As I was especially looking forward to the Pitch-Shift effects in the MESS, I am quite disappointed.

And: It seams to me, as if the both Panning-effects are also very subtle, barely noticeable…

Hi there, lets find out why its not working for you.

  1. Start a new preset
  2. Set the appropriate input level
  3. Turn the mix knob all the way to the right (100%)
  4. Select a pitch shifter algorithm, tonal is for quality and therefore has some latency, textural is faster with more artefacts.
  5. Set the semitones.
  6. Sequencer is not running, you should hear your root note + the selected interval.
  7. If the sequencer is running, you have to set a number of steps to engage the pitch effect.

Thanks for the quick reply. Suddenly it’s working!
I’m not sure why, but however.
Thanks for your support!

 perfect! Feel free to ask if anything is unclear.

Glad to see your issue is gone. :hugs:
And thanks for noticing that we haven’t opened a category for MESS yet.
I’ll get to it :flexed_biceps:

EDIT: moved the topic to the new category.

Thanks!
