Medusa Wavetable Tool

The Medusa wavetable tool is live. And buggy.

  • extracts wavetables from the medusa64Wavetables.polyend file to wav
  • recompiles wavetables from a /waves/ folder to a medusa64Wavetables.polyend file
  • successfully lets users use their own wavetables
    • will open a folder and find either the first 64 alphanumeric files or 64 files at random
    • converts most popular audio formats into mono wav and truncates appropriately

it has a lot of bugs i don’t want to be responsible for fixing yet as i built this for me not for others. but…it is possible

(edit: originally this said it was coming soon. now i have updated it since it’s public)

Medusa owner here!

This is brilliant.
Take your time as support can quickly steal all your development time.

I wonder if polyend devs’ could offer any pointers now the Medusa is nearly fable.

This was the tread last time;

Some confused person is flagging these messages as spam. Please stop it. Every medusa owner benefits from this free tool, and I get nothing from it. I made it for us. People have been wanting this for years.

Hey there @justin.maxwell, welcome to backstage. Great to have you join us here and with that, what an amazing first post!!

Rest assured nobody here is flagging your post. It is a system bot that flags posts if/when it detects some suspicious behaviour. One could say that it acts a bit paranoid with a new users first few posts.
Won’t get into the details, but you should be good for now on

Hi all. For now I think this thread will be the best plan of record for the active state of the tool (unless you like Github, which will always be up to date).

Currently the CLI version works. Mac only. All instructions are on the github, and I made a short video demo here:

I don’t have a mac at my disposal to try this out but I wanted to chime in and say this is pretty generous of you. Thanks, and I hope to try it out one day.

Amazing work! Makes me mad i got rid of my Medusa!
Also gotta add extra  for the ANSI Art you used!
