Today we’re presenting a Polish artist (his name in English sounds: Dead Robot) who started his passion some time back in the early 90s. Check his Tracker Project with Jazzy hip-hop and broken beats!
Polyend: What is the most crucial device used throughout your career? Presently?
Martwy Robot: For many years I was looking for the perfect environment that will allow me to lay down my ideas quickly and with fun. Polyend Tracker has a big screen which I was missing in other grooveboxes, a tracker on board with great song mode and super easy sample manipulation tools.
Polyend: Can you reveal one sound design or music production secret to us?
Martwy Robot: Find, master and use tool(s) that gives you inspiration and make you finish the ideas quickly and without hassle. Prior to that: “less is more” “rule”. All I really need are 4 audio channels and audio input for sampling. I don’t like to feel overwhelmed by all those fancy plugins and synths. That feeling kills my creative process and drags me away from my main goal – finishing the song.

Martwy Robot: Computer was my main tool for most of my career, but your Tracker blown my mind and seems to be the perfect tool for sketching ideas and, what is the most important for me, even creating complete songs.
Bio
Dave Bowman a.k.a Martwy Robot starter his music journey in early 90s listening to rave, jungle and hardcore scene. His first steps in making music was on Fasttracker 2, then Fruity Loops and many more on the way to hardware and nostalgic and powerful Polyend Tracker. His music is full of vocals, deep basses, chopped and rearranged breaks grabbed from different sources. Listening to new music and sampling is his way of life, that’s why sampler and sequencer is the best weapon he could get hold of.
