What is the problem?
When you are slicing a sample in the Sample Playback page, for long samples it would be very useful if you could add slices on-the-fly as the sample is playing. This is sometimes called “chopping” on other samplers.
Doing this would save an enormous amount of zooming in/out and scrolling with the jog wheel to place slice points.
What should this feature achieve?
On Sample Playback, the function the “Add” button should change depending on context:

if the sample is currently not being previews (playing), pressing “Add” should add a slice between the current and next slices - this is the current behaviour

if the sample is currently being previewed (is playing), pressing “Add” should add a slice at the current playback position
