MACOS / iOS Editor for MESS

What is the problem?

I have found that having a separate editor for a pedal makes a huge difference when working in studio. I have my MESS on my pedalboard, and while sitting at the desk actively working on finding the right sound for a song, and given the depth of the pedal, it breaks the workflow having to bend down and make changes to settings.

What should this feature achieve?

There should be an editor app, either for something like an iPad or a Mac, that allows one to edit the settings for the pedal, defining which effects is in which track, and the ability to get into the parameters of the effects themselves.

Are there any workarounds?

None at the moment, other than putting my pedalboard on my desk, which I can’t do due to lack of space.

Any links to related discussions?

Any references to other products?

Eventide H90 and the H90 app. It has been amazing to be able to remotely control the pedal, while looping through a section of a song, and trying different ideas without having to move about to do it.

Ensoniq DP/4 and the iD/4 app. Same as above, I have a DP/4 and a DP/2, and being able to control them remotely and make changes without having to turn away from the song and the listening position has been amazing.

Hi I fully agree with you!

I already had an answer from Polyend who told me they think no software editor is a workflow strategy to increase inspiration and they prefer to increase the workflow on the unti itself.

But like you, I really think that the lack of editor is a disgrace…

I really hope like other users they will consider it in a near future.

Also they would sell a LOT more unit if they do…

Kind regards..

John.

I love the Eventide H9 iOS app. It turns hours into minutes, especially owning 5 H9 Max’s.
