Let the user select which FX to use with Random FX Fill

What is the problem?

When applying the Random FX fill there are many irrelevant FX. For example, MIDI CC on non-MIDI tracks, MIDI Chord without correposnding Arp on the other slot and vice versa, LFO rate FX when the instrument has no active LFO modulations, et cetera. The user has to manually fix that afterwards.

What do you want to achieve?

More control over Random FX fill.
For example, when working with drum one shot samples, the user would pick only FX that they are interested in, let’s say Volume, Panning, Random Note, Random Instrument, Reverse Sample, Bit Depth, Roll, Delay, LP/BP/HP Filter. The other FX that don’t make much sense for drum one shots, like MIDI CCs, Chord, Arp, Sample Position, LFO rates, Gate Length, Tuning, Slice will not be used.

Those who work with MIDI would benefit as well from this, as they could choose only velocity and MIDI CC to populate with Fill.

Are there any workarounds?

Very tedious manual post editing of FX steps.
But when all irrelevant FX were deleted manually after the next fill iteration on empty FX slots (Where? - No Fx) there will be new irrelevant FX to delete.

ooh adding a couple user defined banks to all the fill options would be really cool actually. maybe like four “user set” options added to the list of scales, instruments or fx in the fill menu, and pressing rec while one of those is highlighted opens the note/instrument/fx menu but you can go through and select/deselect certain ones until you press record again to save it. have them saved with the project. make your own scales, randomize only your kick drum instruments even if they aren’t consecutive, etc
