Modules idea - it’s a great idea.

Everything is very cool and awesome, but there’s no dynamics )))

Thanks for the clarification. I suppose the PCB was changed to solve a shortage of some components or fix something in the existing design. Curious how would that work if the device break at that point… Can’t replace the internal PCB if something broke at low level as it is a different PCB, and being a limited run that means there won’t be that many spare PCBs

Anyway, I am glad I do not have to solve that problem

As far as disassemble, if your design would be similar to a uConsole for example, it would be a matter to open the case and unplug screen and battery and swap parts. You may have your reasons for not making it easy to work with, although if you charge customers for shipping defective units back that is not that great (as it is not that great if you have to pay for flying a device from anywhere in the world to UE); versus easier to repair devices. But again, glad I do not have to deal with it.

God please no… We have plenty of people blasting their content in public places as is, on their phones or tablets  Last thing I want is to be on a train run that last 3 hours with someone experimenting “art”
Headphones are the best invention ever made; maybe Polyend should include a pair when they sell the V2 version

Polyend seems to have turned a very nice reliable music making tool into a full on Object of Desire
Kinda reminds me of the TAM(twentieth anniversary Macintosh)

@Mitch and Polyend, thank you for this great update and congrats on 10 years! I’m curious if a reservation were placed now (early-mid September) for a unit, if there is a chance it would be shipped by year’s end or if it would indeed be sometime in February of 2026 as the reservation site suggests.

Could it be that enough units have already been made or scheduled to be made to fill more potential late Q2/early Q3-2025 orders, or are they being “made to order?”

Hey @Lark-TK welcome to backstage. Very cool to have you join us here. Love that you are vibing for that sweet limited Mini

I went through the process tonight and I also get the estimated Feb 2026 date. I would guess that this is accurate based on the volume of orders.

I’m taking off my Mod hat for a second, because I’m going to relate to products I have worked on in the past, and want to make it clear I have no knowledge of Polyend decision making.

My guess is that this limited edition got either the peak amount of love they were expecting, or something that went well beyond that.

Having worked on these kind of products that are limited editions, usually a company will take a very good guess at what can be sold on a first batch, offer about 50% to 75% of that volume in a first batch, and then assess what can be done in a 2nd batch, and when it’s realistic to offer that.

Given that email you and I have both received, I get the feeling that Polyend have all possible orders made for the first batch, and now planning for the next batch scheduled for Feb 2026.

I could be totally wrong, and sure @Mitch will clarify, but for now I would put my trust on the date of delivery on the website as the earliest expectation.

Yeah Dan is mostly correct, except we didn’t even try guessing on how many to sell and all these are made to order so any reservation placed now will ship in 2026!
