Integrate Notepad Feature into Polyend Tracker for In-Device Project Notes

In order to enhance user experience, a notepad feature integrated within the Polyend Tracker would be beneficial for users to write down their notes related to ongoing projects.

What is the problem?

The issue lies in the prolonged process of project completion, where keeping track of various elements such as instruments, tracks, or patterns can become challenging for users. In the current scenario, users have to resort to a separate notepad or mobile application for keeping these notes, but these are not directly linked to the Polyend Tracker.

What do you want to achieve?

The objective is to streamline the note-taking process by incorporating a notepad feature within each project on the Polyend Tracker since the device already has a keyboard. This will allow users to annotate patterns for different sections such as verse or chorus, document ideas, and create reminders for future work, all directly within the device itself.

Are there any workarounds?

Users currently use external note-taking devices or applications, such as physical notepads or phone apps, as a workaround.

Any references to other products?

Several Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) already offer integrated note-taking sections, suggesting the feasibility and potential effectiveness of this feature.

Nice wish @ismaelf and very detailed. I like it

As a oldschool Amiga Tracker Head, we used to rename samples to add notes/info to a project.
This is something you can already do. I’m guessing though that you would like a separate possibility to add notes?
