Dear Polyend Team,
I’m currently using the Jungle Pack included with the Polyend Tracker Plus, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality of the drum one-shots.
However, some of the samples — especially the snares and ghost notes — sound remarkably similar to processed segments of the original Amen Break.
I would like to ask:
-
Are any of the drum samples in the Jungle Pack derived (even partially) from the original Amen Break recording?
-
If so, has proper clearance been obtained for commercial use?
As a musician who intends to release original work, I want to make sure I’m using fully cleared, royalty-free material.
Thank you very much for your time and clarification.
Best regards,
Hey @oksproject2107, i’ve got a question for you as well.
- It seems you are talkign about the factory content, yes?
- If so, could you tell me the name of the folder that you mean specifically?
I don’t recall there being a folder named “Jungle Pack” unless i deleted it right from the get-go

Yes, I’m referring to the factory SD card content that came with my Polyend Tracker Plus. Under /Samples/Mono Sample Packs/, there are three folders: Jungle Pack 1, Jungle Pack 2, and Jungle Pack 3. They contain very high-quality jungle-style drum one-shots, and I was wondering if these are derived from the original Amen Break in any way, or if they are fully original or royalty-free.
Hopefully we can get a definitive answer from a Team Member.
But just in case you weren‘t aware of it, have a look here:
Specifically the „ Sounds – License Agreement“ Section:
The Sounds samples on the SD card of all Polyend Instruments are licensed, not sold, to you to be reproduced within your original musical compositions only. All copying, lending, duplicating, re-selling, or trading of this product or its content is strictly prohibited.
The Licensee may use the Sounds in combination with other sounds in music productions (which include soundtracks such as films, video productions, radio/TV programs or commercials, computer games and multimedia presentations, library music, public performances, and other reasonable musical purposes within musical compositions).
The Licensee MAY NOT use the Sounds in isolation as Sound effects (i.e. a sequence of musical events) or within any competitive products sold or relicensed to multiple third parties. In these scenarios, the Licensee must arrange an extension with Polyend Sp. z o.o.
Based on that, feel free to use them and if you get into trouble, have them sue Polyend

Appreciate the heads-up! That license section definitely helps.
I agree — it’s probably fine to use as long as it’s within a musical composition.
I’ll keep an eye out for an official reply from a Team Member just to be 100% sure, but I feel way more confident about using those Jungle Pack sounds now.
