Incorrect chords in Play manual

I want to try the chord feature for MIDI tracks this evening so I was looking through the manual and came upon the chord preset chart on page 186. I noticed that a number of these chords are incorrectly illustrated. Some are correctly shown like standard Major and Minor triad chords.

I haven’t checked every chord in the table for accuracy but here are a few examples of errors.

  • Power 4th shows a minor 3rd
  • Power 5th shows a major 3rd
  • Augmented is incorrect - should be C, E, G#
  • Suspended chords are correct but are listed as “Sustained”

Are these chords implemented correctly in the Play code? I hope so.

These same chords are listed correctly in the Tracker manual which makes this error curious.

I can’t be the first person to notice this.

In fact I think you are, it is a big manual :woman_shrugging: Thanks for pointing this out!

I am confident this is just a guide error not an error with the code.

Okay, then do I get some kind of award? :grin:

I’m still just playing around with MIDI chords. If I find any errors in the MIDI notes, I’ll list them here.
