Inconsistent Response of Osc. Volume to Macros, Velocity and Pressure (AT)

Bug Description

It’s impossible to increase Osc. Volume to more than 100% with a unipolar Macro and a positive scaling value, even though Osc. Volume can be set to 200%. Negative Scaling Values can increase Osc. Volume to more than 100%, even though they should not.

Hi @Lizard-of-Oz , Osc. Volume is special (exception) because it’s tied by default to Velocity macro and we didn’t want this macro to increase volume above current setting as that’s how all keyboards work. If your problem is that you can’t increase the Volume with a macro to the higher value then simply set the Osc. Volume parameter to higher value like 200%. And also match this Volume to macro and it should work as intended. I’ll close this ticket by design. Hope this helps, thanks for logging the issue.

Interesting design choice, I haven’t seen that implemented like this anywhere else.

I guess this should go to into the manual then, too.

Yeah,I get that. But that wasn’t my problem.

My problem was that I read the manual and played with the Synth, and from that I built a mental model of how the Synth works, but I bumped into a lot of things that behaved in unexpected ways.

Or in other words: I simply expect a user interface to be consistent, and a manual that fills the gaps where consistency would in the way of usability.

@synthdawg Can you please add this to the manual also.

@Lizard-of-Oz Thanks for your feedback!
