Improvising on Polyend Play+

Hi guys,
I’m seriously considering buying this awesome toy and have a few questions for current owners, as I have some doubts.
I’d go for the Polyend to “disconnect” myself from the DAW a bit, as I’d love to be independent of my laptop.
I usually tend to improvise completely from scratch, without preparing loops or samples, and the Play+ seems perfect for this purpose at first glance. However, I’m unsure if, with an external MIDI keyboard connected, I can play while simultaneously managing the loops and the session.
Is it possible to record chords, sequences, and improvisations directly into the sequencer while keeping the instrument in play?
Is there anyone here who uses it this way? Would you be willing to share a video of you jamming with the instrument from scratch or while playing it’s internal synths with a keyboard?
Also, can someone explain the logic behind connecting MIDI keyboards? Do you need to stop the session for certain operations or recordings? If i would use some external synth for some parts, is it easy to play with the loops while improvising a solo with the synth while it’s connected to the play+ ? can i route the audio of my synth directly to the play+ or i will need an external mixer?

PLUS: I’m wondering if the Play+ can send MIDI out to control a drum rack or other instruments within a DAW. For example, if I have a drum rack set up in Ableton or a similar DAW, could I use the Play+ to sequence patterns, trigger drum sounds, or send MIDI information to other instruments within the DAW (via midi or usb)?

Thanks a lot for your time and attention! And thanks in advance for your answers!

I’m pretty sure that it’s possible to record synth notes aid overall automation of knobs while playing.

Regarding midi out, I’m not tried it but the midi synth parts can send midi so it would be totally possible to trigger a drum rack (I tried to do it with an oxi one and works perfect).

Do you want to jam and have fun, a LOT of fun? Buy a Play+. I can assure you that if you connect with the machine, you will have tons of fun

hi . theres no need to stop your jamming session ., you can record notes and build sequences , copy and deleze them and modify all parameters live in realtime but you need to load and organize your samples at first.its super funny to play with it and the workflow is very fast once you understand how its done .
but its more for rhythmical based music i think cause there is no real possibility to record chords be( ok with the synths you can ) .

i bought it to the same reason like u think of . dawless music making is really cool but dont forget to try to usb connectbit to your comu ter into your daw . thats a complete new dimension of possibilities there .
