It would be so useful along with a little drum sequencer. Please?
id probably buy it if there was bit reduction and overdrive/saturation
but honestly why would they give you perc in synth? youre supposed to buy play or tracker
@pointandclicksystems Finger drumming and sound-design.
The envelopes and oscillators in a percussive synth are different. I’ve two Synths, and there are small sequencers in them.
Truly, though, just the PERC engine would be wonderful - because we can split the synth up into sets of 3 different engines. For those of us who don’t make rhythmic music, having the percussive elements would be wonderful to add while we are playing other parts by hand. In addition, if there were a little drum sequencer, we could have a rotating pattern play while we are doing other things. Not asking for a song-making sequencer, but a pattern playback like we already have for notes, but this could loop a percussive pattern.
i understand but the idea is for you to buy more. and i do agree, drums are not the focus of ‘synth’. companies do this understandably because they want to motivate you to spend more. some instances of this tactic are more forgivable than others but this one makes more sense imho. synth is low cost and it says ‘synth’ right on the tin.
@pointandclicksystems well, I suppose if I have a differing opinion, that means I am thinking wrong. There can only be one correct answer in this black and white world
I could give you the reins, and then my life would be a lot easier. Whaddaya say? Would you like to take over so I can just stop thinking or desiring new things? ![]()
btw, I truly saying this all with a grin on my face, so you won’t think I’m starting an argument.
thur aint room fer both of us in this here town so wun of us has got tuh git on his donkey an ride on
synth was at one time $500 new. i get why they didnt put a do everything feature set in. but a guy can dream cant he? it would be different if it was unusable or broken. i def feel frustrated about a couple things in tracker and +
That’s the spirit!
glad ya understood me!
I’m right there with you! I thought about making a feature request for it, but my votes are all tied up for the moment
I totally get why they might not include it, buuuuut it’d be a lot cooler if they did (shameless dazed & confused pun intended
).
On a side note, i’ve been making some cool beats with the DWA synth that gives heavy Animal Collective vibes. Probably an acquired taste for some, but I’m loving it![]()
honestly i think you misunderstood me. i was trying to dispel the concept of synth should contain a model that was meant to motivate you to purchase another product which isnt the same as put a model in a product but make sure its incomplete and crippled, then act like its supposed to be that way. honestly i feel like polyend does that shit on purpose too. on the one hand i agree with them when they dont give a percussive model in a product called synth, and on the other it almost enrages me when they step all the way to the edge of a synth architecture but refuse to give you something simple and essential in say, tracker which was not $500 new. i feel its just not my fault wanting it to work properly, its their fault for charging what they did and leaving an essential out. so i described the concept the way i see it to you. does my view make sense? i understand the want to ask for everything while paying not so much and that doesnt seem to fly anywhere ive seen it. so one of us can now claim they are unsafe im learning. you didnt school me, there are laws of profit in place that keep polyend from being taken advantage of, while they take advantage of buyers so to speak lol! sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesnt. but the 2 circumstances are certainly not equivalent in some stretch imho.
Uhh. I think we lost the fun of the conversation. All smiles here. I’m good. You good?
Now we know why PERC isn’t coming to Synth ![]()
Synth has been upscaled in price to 799 Euros. Thomann is selling them now for 789 wonky Euros. Old price was around 500 Euros.
