I looked and googled everywhere on
1: Where to put the Palettes after download, which I never really found an answer, so I guessed and put into the SAMPLES folder on the SD Card, and
2: How to access the Palettes on Synth once you’ve got them on SD Card?
According to the manual, wavetables go to “samples/WAVS” for Wavs Engine and samples to “samples/GRAIN” for the grains engine. You can access them in the corresponding engine. So for samples, you use GRAIN for eg.
Wav files can only be used by WAVS and GRAIN engine.
You can find the folder to put wavs on in your sd card.
Once you’re using a wavs or grain engine, hit “engine” button on synth and there you will find where to change them.
Thanks! I’ll try that now…
Ok, wait…Looking at the individual files within the folders of Palettes I’ve downloaded, they’re all (.wav) files, and looking into both the “WAVE” Folder & “GRAIN” Folders, all files in each of those are also “.wav” files. So how do I know which folder to put them in? Also, do I just put the whole Palette folder in there or do I have to put only the .wav files individually in ?
Palettes are not made for Synth, they are more meant to be used in Tracker or Play though you can use them in the grain engine. Wavetables however are short samples of 2048 cycles for eg.
So palettes are more likely for the grains engine.
…imo
Not for Synth? Well…ok well good thing I bought a Tracker Plus too! =). Should have it by end of week…
Moving the whole Palette folder to Grain didn’t do anything
any .wav file will work for WAVS and GRAIN engines. Don’t have to exactly be a wavetable, can be any sample, but short one shots and stuff work best in SYNTH.
And you have to put the .wav files in the right folders, not move the complete folder in there.
ok thanks
