Sorry, this probably has been discussed already, but I don’t recall any of the countless videos I watched explaining this
I’m assuming some - if not all? - of the synth engines offer some limited polyphony (8 voices total, spread across 3 synth slots), right? So, how are the chords entered into the grid? Do they also take up e.g. 3 tracks / slots like with the samples for a basic triad? Or is there an FX (like for chip tune stuff in old Amiga trackers) that handles this? The user manual is pretty poor in explaining this topic
Yes and no.
The polyphony can be adjusted per synth engine. Perc is always “polyphonic”
To sequence it polyphonic, you need 3 tracks (can be any of the 16 tracks) or you can use the chord step fx in one track to enter triads (many different chord types are possible).
So for real polyphonic composing you use multiple tracks so notes can overlap. On one track they cut out each other.
