more than helped me out, i already have it back from repair !
Well, the saga continues. I finally had a chance to take the Tracker+ out of the box, and it is unfortunately still malfunctioning. I plugged it into power, plugged it into my speakers and turned it on. It turned on immediately and with a project loaded and i hit Play. The sequencer advanced but no sound output to the speakers. I held down Master to check levels and the unit was unresponsive, and the sequencer stopped though the screen was still lit. Nothing worked to unfreeze it, so i removed it from power and plugged it back in. It fired up, and immediately shut down, and refuses to power back up. Iām fairly certain either the unit is defective, or whatever is wrong with it wasnāt actually repaired when it was back at Polyend. This is a total bummer. Iāve been using my original Tracker in the meantime, which has been rock solid, but the whole reason i bought the T+ was to work with stereo samples when writing ![]()
So odd. ![]()
Did you use the same power supply that you use for the OG Tracker ?
Or are you using a new power supply for the T+ ?
If you are using a different supply, iām curious if thatās the root of the issue.
I guess in worst case, it needs to go back, which sucks.
No, i used a different one specifically for that reason since that was a factor i wanted to eliminate. Although even if i had, iāll reiterate that i use this power supply with my Polyend Synth, Play, Play+, Tracker and, up until i bricked it, the Tracker + with zero issues.
Polyend is going to fully replace it. So i got that goinā for me. Which is nice.
srs thx to polyend, bummer situation but best possible customer service here.
replacement arrived and is working. the only oddity is that color on the screen seems tinted green for whatever reason. itās very clearly different colored than my tracker, itās almost like thereās a color setting somewhere that i dont know about that got flipped on. so odd.
but, it works so ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
the story continues. the replacement unit showed up, and as i mentioned the color to the screen looked funny, which i reported and was told to check the config menu. i could never figure it out, and then whole thing was kind of a bummer so i let it go and havent really touched my tracker+ since.
well, now, iām leaving the country for a month and figured iād download some new sound packs and take it with me. i updated the firmware, plugged it into the tracker+ and it powers up, and the screen is just full-white. iām so frustrated i dont even know what to say.
edit: i took a deep breath and reloaded to factory fresh with the orginally supplied sd card, no change.
Iām so sorry to here that @chaorta. Of course send a word to support. I imagine there is a way to reopen your original ticket (Iāve never had to use Polyend support so Iām not 100% sure how it works).
Tomorrow depending on your timezone and as long as it outside of my dayjob working hours, Iād be more than happy to jump into a call with you and try to help troubleshoot. Throw me a DM and we can schedule it if you think that could help.
replacement unit on the way, polyend making good on all of this, bought a new SD card too just to sorta start entirely from scratch. cross yer fingers everyone
They say third timeās a charm ![]()
But seriously, from my years here I think itās the first time I hear/read about a replacement unit having to be replaced. Despite that fact, youāve been really chill, polite and patient, and wanted to say how much that is appreciated ![]()
hey i appreciate that, thank you
the thing is, iām a total polyend believer, i have so much of the gear and want even more, i get this is a total fluke and/or bad luck.
got my replacement and itās working perfectly so far!!
Wow that was fast! Glad to hear itās in your hands and working as expected. You so deserve it!!
