What is the problem?
In MESS every preset has its own saved tempo information. When changing the preset, the saved tempo is loaded with the preset.
I would highly appreciate to have a global setting which lets me decide between “preset tempo” and “global tempo”.
For example in impro sessions with real time (-non machine-) tempo I have to “tap tempo” to ‘synchronize’ the MESS to the actual tempo of the music.
What should this feature achieve?
Would be much easier if MESS would be able to keep the tapped tempo even when changing presets.
Are there any workarounds?
Now, when changing a preset while playing, I have to stop playing, stop the sequencer, change preset and tap tempo. Then I can continue to play. Not nice.
