What is the problem?
Currently if I want to control a synth parameter using midi from an external device I have to use the performance page and control a macro. As soon as I switch to pattern, song or any other page, I can no longer control my synth macro via midi. This is a hurdle both in live performance situations and when composing. It would be so awesome if there was a set of CC numbers that where always routed directly to the macros for the 3 synth slots. E.G. CC number 100 - 107 on channels 10-13 correspond to the macros 1-7 on the synth slots 1-3. Ideally we could also have incoming midi notes on these channels routed directly to the corresponding synth slots so they can be controlled by extarnal midi at the same time regardless of what instrument is currently selected. This would allow users to play some of the synths slots using keyboards and other midi gear while playing patterns or tweaking other instruments/samples
What should this feature achieve?
This feature would make the workflow far less cumbersome when performing or composing for live performance using the internal synths. The tracker mini has a limited interface, exposing the macros of the powerful synth engines in this way would greatly expand itβs versatility. It could be a feature that is enabled / disabled in the config menu.
Are there any workarounds?
Not beside switching to performance page and arming tracks every time I want to live tweak a macro using midi. Also there is no way i have found to play more than one synth simultaniously via midi
