Flam techniques?

Wondering about preferred approaches for getting realistic flams using the various timing / FX capabilities of the OG Tracker? Thanks for any insight you can provide!

hmmm, I think progressive overload had a tutorial on something like this but I couldn’t find it at first glance at the channel. Also just great tutorials in general - https://www.youtube.com/@progressiveoverload7320/videos

My personal workflow for this is:

  1. create a temp pattern, where you can create your flams in
  2. use two or more tracks for the different parts
  3. Use microtiming to get them close to eachother
  4. apply any effects that you might need (volume, filters, bitrcrush work best)
  5. Create a couple hits in succession, all with some slight differences
  6. Then render the entire thing to a sample
  7. Beatslice the new sample
  8. Profit
