Fill always inserts C0 when only 1 step is selected

Bug Description

The description below is for a simple bug, where a fill on a single row inserts a C0 instead of the desired note. The reason I’m reporting it is that I’ve also gotten Fill to insert a note that’s off by a semitone at times, but I can’t seem to reproduce that one when I try it. However, I wonder if the underlying cause for both is some sort of variable initialization issue.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Create a new project
  2. Switch to pattern view, switch to Record
  3. Select Fill, leave everything as is but set a note like D4
  4. Apply

The inserted note is C0.

Occurrence

The above happens every time.

Sometimes, I can get it to fill the wrong note (off by a semitone) when selecting an entire column, but I haven’t found a way to reliably reproduce it.

Hi @eagereyes , thanks for your bug report. This seems to be the issue only when 1 step is selected, right? When I select multiple steps, I cannot reproduce the issue, can you? Thanks for your support

Yes, that’s correct. There is an issue that I’m guessing is related, but I haven’t been able to reproduce it. I’ll log a separate bug once I have a way to replicate it.

OK, thanks for clarifying  Please keep us posted if you run into any other issues.
