I think it’s be a great mechanic if you were able to change single instruments (or whole kits) on the step pattern by pattern, for example if track B was a hi hat on pattern 1, to be able to change that to a crash cymbal on pattern 2. It’d make the 4 tracks a lot less limiting.

I thought it was possible to do this but after exploring more I see it’s not.
Second this! Just got my Step and I love it, but I really wish it could do this as four sounds can be limiting.
Yes please! would love if each step could be a different instrument on any track on STEP, that would be sweet.
