Hi everybody, good to have this forum.
Is there any experience about what kinds of expression pedals work with the step? Specifications? I tried with a cheap M Gear EX-P and it didn´t work (for me).
Or is there anything else in the menu except choosing the action for the expression pedal, that has to be considered?
Should not be any problem, maybe the polarity on the exp sends are inverted. Can you flip the polarity switch and see if you have any luck?
Haven’t tested with MGear EX-P but multiple people have tested it with several different expression pedals without problems including the most basic one I have, a Moog EP-3 (I think that is what it is called).
Hi Mitch, thanks for the superfast and helpful reply.
I found the polarity switch on the bottom of the M Gear EX-P, covered with velcro
Switched it, works like a charm, great feature!
Great, glad it was an easy fix!
1 thing to always remember when using an Exp pedal - assigning it to volume without an expression pedal plugged in results in volume = 0. I want exp volume control, but I could see myself forgetting the expression pedal or not plugging it in all the way and trying to set up for a live show in a hurry and not remembering this and thinking the device is broken.
Oh yes, I can imagine that very well. Thanks for the reminder. I´d rather use the expression pedal for pitch or delay - lots of fun!
