First time using both Trackers for a while and quickly knocked out an half decent track. Due to the track limitation of using chords and overlapping samples, I wanted to export this to merge the chords and overlapping synth sound. Option 4 Exporting Pattern Stems looked the best option to export my pattern, nothing was muted, but for some reason this only exported the first 3 tracks made of drums and bass.
I’ve tried this 4 times now and deleted the folder in Export each time in case it wouldn’t overwrite, All i’m getting each time is the same results, even exporting the project from one to the other and trying this method on each unit.
All tracks are exported, but tracks 4-8 are just silent wavs and the reverb and delay isn’t required because I want to merge these in a daw.
Might be something simple, but it doesn’t make any sense to me?
Thanks Dann. I think it’s actually just user error.
I originally hit the second option for Song export the first few times, which probably wasn’t the correct option. I did actually write option 2 before editing my post, but after switching it back on and checking what that option was, I thought I couldn’t have pressed that as it looked wrong.
I just tried the 4th option on pattern 3 and I then had 6 tracks with music on them, so I switched it back on and realised that those channels were muted. I think it just reverted to how i’d saved it, but I unmuted the patterns the first time to get all the stems, and probably didn’t check each time I retried, so yes, user error.
Edit: Yes, I have all 8 tracks, so definitely user error. Thanks for your help and apologies for not sussing this out myself sooner.
Hi there, I just “discovered” how wonderful the Midi Chord fx is. A bit tangential to your problem but I’m finding it simpler to use than expected and gets all the chord sounds into a single track.
Cool! There’s a video from Aisjam on youtube showing an alternative method too, using any empty pattern, playing the chord in that pattern and rendering it to a sample in your instruments. Such a great workflow, but i’ve neglected mine until recently through buying and trying other gear, but they’re both highly productive machines and i’ve enjoyed listening to my projects again. I’ve made quite a bit of music over the years that i’m really proud of with them.
