I just noticed that the Trackers support a wide range of 29 chords with many more 4-note chord type than the Play series. As we Play users can only enter polyphonic MIDI data via the step chord parameter, it certainly would be nice to have a broader range of chords than the limited table of 20 types we have.
In case you are unaware, there are many more chords available if you hold Shift while browsing the chords. Many inversions and extensions hidden there
Amazing! I was not aware of this - thanks!
I had run across that nice feature. Still I don’t think it covers all the chords from the Tracker. I could be wrong.
Here is the full list of 134 variations built on 20 base chords, available in the Play series. Note though that a number of the more exotic chord variations found in the Tracker are not available. It would still be quite useful to include these in the Play options as we have no other way to add these to MIDI tracks on the Play.

Oh man… this is next level!
I see too few people are aware of the chord invesrions feature. That’s why one should always read changelogs, because some things are inexplicably missing in the manual.
New MIDI Chord inversions:
- Accessible by pressing Shift while turning the Chord Knob (for all chords except Power 4th/5th)
I get the feeling they simply didn’t want to list all those variations in the manual.
Worth mentioning that chord inversions are accessible through Shift + Knob I guess? I wasn’t able to find that in the user guide.
