Tracker+ freezes when expanding or shrinking pattern, usually pattern 1. This happens very often when tracker has midi connected either by usb or trs midi, less often when I just use the machine itself. Project is unusable once the bug occurs. Same projects don’t freeze on tracker mini. I switch the SD card between both devices. When I connect my T+ to the computer it’s guaranteed to happen at some point. Not sure if copying the pattern helps, it might help, I think I tried it once. The pattern bugs out simply and it’s broken.
Reproduction Steps
Start working on a pattern, play around, program, shrink, expand.
Once the freeze occurs you can’t even use the power button to restart the device, you need to cut the power.
It just freezes on the pattern screen, buttons are not responding
Occurrence
*bug is reproducible - very often, I just have to connect the device via midi and play around with it. Happened the moment I took it out of the box and connected. Happens rarely when I use just tracker+ without anything hooked up via midi, but still. Once it does happen I can only use the project on the mini. When it happens it happens relatively quick, but it sure is frustrating to have to start a new project.

Hi @alienuman , thanks for reporting the issue. We have similar bug on the radar already, but to make sure you’re experiencing what we plan on fixing, please upload the project. Thanks for your support!
Uploaded the one that keeps on bugging.
I had few others, but weirdly they stopped bugging after I worked on them in the T Mini.
Sorry for the delay, been exhausted slaving out.
One other thing - might not be a bug but simply not a feature yet. Am I wrong to think that I could work with Macros on the perform page on the mini and not on the T+?
Or is it something I imagined?
This is happening to me as well. I have my Tracker + connected to a MRCC 880 MIDI hub (which connects to a Novation Summit and Korg Poly 800) and also an ASM Hydrasynth Explorer via a splitter (Explorer does not work with the 880 for some reason).
Today I took a project I have been working on, and tried to expand pattern 1, which subsequently froze the Tracker +, forcing me to unplug it to power it down.
After booting it back up, the project still appears to play just fine. I have not tried to expand any patterns in it again yet.
By the way, this was done on a copy of the original project, as I just wanted to test expanding without messing with the original one. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help test or provide more info.
Hi @alienuman , thanks for sharing the project. I can confirm the issue I mentioned is the same. We have it on the radar and it should be included in the next T+ update. We’ll inform you here when it’s available. Thanks for your support and patience!
