What is the problem?
To expose an additional UI / UX control - that could be used in a variety of ways.
What should this feature achieve?
For example:
I am designing an effect with Tap Tempo, and 3 Banks of presets.
I use the L switch for Tap Tempo.
Currently, I’m using a very long press on L switch (so as not to be confused with a tap tempo press) as a way to switch “Banks” (LONG PRESS 4+ secs = Advance to Next Bank).
In this case, separating Tap Tempo (L switch taps) from “Bank Advance” with L+R switches simultaneously makes each action distinct.
Are there any workarounds?
Yes - but they mean using the one L switch to have multiple actions, which could get mixed up by the pedal and/or the user.

I was asking if this is possible yesterday - and today learned that currently it’s not.

Lots of pedals have L + R switch simultaneously type functions.
Meris X series comes to mind (Enzo X, Mercury X, LVX) for example. You can see in pictures those devices have 4 switches. And adjacent pairs - pressed simultaneously - each have a function.
