What is the problem?
If i add a repetitive part (16th note hihats being a classic example) it would be amazing to have a way to make that sound more human, without having to manually alter each note (and if you do that it still ends up being repetitive, just across 4 bars rather than each note)
Easy implementation: some kind of randomize feature - with whatever params it makes sense to randomize to get this feel: maybe there is a choice of volume, pitch, filter, volume + pitch, etc; and also potentially a setting that lets you alter how much it is applied (how wide the variation)
Harder implementation: allow some kind of emphasis to be placed on top of this randomization feature, whether broad via encoder knob (emph 1, emph 2, emph 3, emph 4, emph 1+2, etc - like the skip), or better yet a mechanism to let the user select which notes to emphasize on top of the randomization grid.
What should this feature achieve?
This feature would let people easily overcome one of the biggest failings of a drum machine - sounding repetitive and mechanical.
Good test case: the drumming in Bill Withers Use Me, which has variety but also clear emphasis
Are there any workarounds?
You can manually edit note velocities, but it still ends up being repetitive over a longer term

It can be done in tools like logic or maschine. I havent used another drum machine in years but seems like some might support this useful finctionality
