Today I tried to explore DWA Engine on my synth well, after realising that new framework was produced and recommended, I’ve installed it. However I still cannot run any of DWA Engine from the list.
DWA folders are presence in miniSD card→ Samples, Patches .
I’m sure we can figure out what the issue is together.
I just want to confirm a couple things with you to get a bit more detail. You downloaded the new firmware. Was it the beta you downloaded or the official 2.0.1?
Once you downloaded the update, you copied the folders in the update to the root folder on your synth. After that, you went through the process on the Synth to update the firmware. Can you confirm that is the process you went through please?
When you say you can’t run any DWA Engine, do you mean you don’t have the option to load it, or you can load it but there is no sound?
I have copied .PSD file to the Firmware folder on SD card.
As I have not installed 2.0 version I have copied Dirt patch folder to the Synth patch folder and place new Scenes in the Scenes folder.
Then I went into Synth menu →Firmware →update Firmware and did update.
After that process I can confirm that new firmware was installed, I saw also additional Dirt Engine and new view of the Scenes - so I believe with that everything was fine.
DWA - with that Engine nothing changed.
I couldn’t run it and I still can’t. While I’m choosing DWA Engine from the Engines menu, with immediately opened list of the songs of that Engine I see the massage - Failed to load sample file.
And if I’m trying to choose any of the songs I’ve seen that massage, and yes indeed, I cannot hear the voice. However I can see the name of each song that looks like it loaded, but there no any sound or noise.
Aha! That is the key info. You need to go to the Polyend download page and download the SD content for the Synths. I’ve left the link below.
There you will find the samples for DWA. At the moment there might be an issue because it’s telling me to register my synth to get the content although my Synth is registered and I’m logged in. Might be a small bug there that needs to be addressed.
Sorry, my bad. I think I had a caching issue on the Polyend site, so not all download option were showing.
You’ll want to download the other file called DWA patches and Samples. From there you only need to copy the DWA folder inside the sample folder that you downloaded into the samples folder on the Synth.
