DWA Crossfade Parameters

So I am having a really hard time hearing what these crossfade 1 and crossfade 2 parameters are doing for the DWA engine.

If I have loopstart and loop width parameters very close together and use crossfade then you can hear a ever slightly and subtle EQ change, but is that all it’s really doing? Doesn’t seem to be very useful or useful at all except if the loopstart and loop width parameters are very close and even then it doesn’t change much.

Am I missing something about these parameters?

Designed for single cycle waveforms - it is really minimal otherwise but designed to get rid of clicks more than crossfade as an effect.

Oh ok, thank you @Mitch. So @Sandroid was right when I asked him about it but still wasn’t entirely sure but it looks like he was right! “so it tries to remove the crackles/pops between loop points?”

Either way I love DWA engine a lot! Can get so wild and experimental!

I still think something weird going on with crossfade in DWA engine. If it’s supposed to eliminate pops and clicks, then how come they go away when crossfade is on 0% and get worse when turned all the way up lol
