Dual World

Dual Memory Reverb combines a sparkling granular plate on the left with a dense diffusion cloud on the right. The knobs shape time, texture and sustain, while the footswitch moves or freezes both reverb worlds.

Description

Dual Memory Reverb is a high-resolution dual-engine stereo effect. The left input feeds Reverb 1: a sparkling granular delay flowing into a permanently long plate reverb, shaped by slow tremolo. The right input feeds Reverb 2: Memory Cloud, a dense, airy diffusion reverb that turns notes into wide, pad-like ambience. Both engines remain independent, while the dry input stays clear in the stereo centre. No lo-fi processing, metallic ringing or harsh reflections.

All knobs default to the centre position.

Knob 1
Reverb 1: Granular delay time, 20–900 ms.
Reverb 2: Space, from an intimate chamber to a vast, highly complex, almost endless reverb tail.
Also sets stereo movement time: fully left = immediate, fully right = 10 seconds.

Knob 2
Reverb 1: Grain size, 5–350 ms. From the centre to fully right, a 12 dB/oct high-pass filter rises from 50 to 300 Hz.
Reverb 2: Texture, from defined reflections to a smooth, velvety diffusion cloud.

Knob 3
Reverb 1: Tremolo rate, 0.08–1 Hz, plus a 0–100% probability that granular-delay fragments play in reverse.
Reverb 2: Sustain, from a short halo to near-infinite, choir-like regeneration.

Footswitch
Default mode is Separated: Reverb 1 sits far left, Reverb 2 far right, with the dry signal in the centre. Short presses cycle Separated → Crossed → Normal → Separated. In Crossed mode both reverbs travel smoothly to the opposite side. Long press toggles Freeze for both reverbs; short-press spatial movement remains active while frozen.
