Discrete Looping Points for Sample Playback

What is the problem?

Looping playback plays the entire sample, meaning if you have a sample with a beginning and end, you have to repeat these things in order to loop. If you want to loop just the middle portion, you can’t.

What should this feature achieve?

You could create long sustaining samples with in tact beginning and ends. For example, if a sample is someone singing “Word”, you can have it play “Woooooooooooord”, looping the O sound, instead of “WordWordWord” or the like.

Additionally, long notes could be shorter samples. You can have a long pedal steel sample that slides up for any length you’d like without having to record a much longer sample.

Are there any workarounds?

Hi and welcome!
You can do this already, just load your sample in one instrument slot and then press the sample playback button to go to the sample playback page. Here you can select forward loop and set sample start and end as well as loop start and loop end.

Oh, I see that now. Sorry, wish I could delete this. Thanks for the heads up.
