Crossfade loop option

What is the problem?

While the auto ‘find zero point crossing’ feature is quite useful, not every sample works well with this method of looping.

What should this feature achieve?

Old samplers like the S950 and ESI32 had a crossfade loop option which also imparted character on the sound. Could this be implemented in the tracker and/or tracker+/mini? It would make long pads easier to loop.

Are there any workarounds?

I have not found any workarounds.

This would be a very welcomed feature! I’d love to see this in the grain engine as well. It would make for some beautiful pads!

Any references to other products?

As I mentioned above, the old Akai S950 and E-MU ESI32 had this going back to the 80’s and 90’s. It is also readily available in all DAWs i.e. renoise, ableton, etc.
