That’s not true. I looked through some of the more vocal posters in this thread and found that only two or three had actually submitted bug reports, a few others had replied in those bug reports.
That’s not true… there are a lot of bug reports.
And even if there are 2 or 3 as you say, they are serious enough to cause the equipment to have frustrating behaviors and, as in my case, make it impossible to use it live.
Here’s what I wrote:
Emphasis added to make my point clear.
And why report something that has already been reported?
You’re clearly not reading what I write, at all.
I cannot find a bug report about this, for example. Not surprising as this thread was the first the user posted on this forum.
Before we derail again , let me attempt to summarize:
The general sentiment in this topic is that Polyend is:
- Too slow at releasing fixes / improvements / features (in that order)
- Does not communicate transparently
- Offers timelines that are not upheld for whatever the reason may be
Did i summarize this correctly or did i miss something?
With that information, what kind of parameterized questions could we ask in a survey?
- So that we get a large enough dataset
- So that Polyend see’s what the general sentiment is
- Across its userbase (from inside this forum and outside / other forums / platforms)
I think this is the way to move forward. Us yelling at eachother really doesn’t help anyone
The paradox is that it’s not us (the users) who should worry about the company not knowing our mood. Users shouldn’t have to self-organize and conduct surveys among themselves to bring analytical data to the company. It’s the company that should be taking care of this.
My verdict is very simple: I will wait until January 1st. If by that date the company hasn’t fixed the critical bugs (for me, this means a non-working Line In and a non-working Note Off), I will sell my Polyend products and simply won’t deal with this company anymore. I’m tired of sitting on forums, endlessly waiting for something, and constantly encountering various bugs that hinder my work. This is not normal.
Where are you going to find people that buy buggy and underdeveloped stuff… Oh wait…
The problem with polls is that it’s just another, seemingly one way communication. What does it mean? Polls, wishlists, etc?
They all seem like instruments to give the users impression that we’re having this two way communication and have some influence but I certainly don’t get that impression.
I get the impression that many of us are software developers - as am I. So I think many of us see through the charade, we’ve all been through it.
just for the record, I’m also a software developer.
That is spot on!
Snarky remark that does not further this conversation. Please refrain from doing that, thank you.

Is it not time to just put an end to this topic and close it off, or we’re just going to end up going round in circles here.
We’ve been going in circles for a while. But i’ll keep this post open. Please read below.
Mandatory Disclaimer:
I am a community moderator and not employed by Polyend. My opinions and views are my own and are not controlled and do not reflect the views and opinions of Polyend.
Here’s how i see it (unfiltered):
I believe in constructive critisism. If you don’t like something, you bring it to attention with suggestions on how to improve the point of contention.
I also believe that pointing fingers at a problem and just whining about it… won’t do shit.
It’s the equivalent of the kids in the back of your car, nagging "are we there yet?".
If anyone is unhappy with the current situation, i see three ways forward:
- Be constructive and work with me…
- i think i’ve made it clear that i’m happy to help, if my help is wanted
- If you don’t believe a community survey could help, offer a better idea
- so far my ideas have just been shot down, without alternatives offered
- i’ll support you and work with you, but you gotta do some work as well
- Keep posting your frustrations here…
- Keep it civil, follow the community guidelines and we are good.
- Voicing frustration is fine and i will protect the right to do so for as long as Polyend let’s me. As long as it remains civil.
- The moderation team will remove anything out of line and will silence repeat offenders if necessary.
- Sell your gear and move on…
- Lifes too short - We should be making music instead, no?
Y’all make your choices. If you want my help… i’m happy to help.
Else i will remove myself from this particular topic and just monitor for offensive comments.
this is actually great, write it out, and nail it to the wooden door of their headquarters in poland
I love the Play + and the tracker mini.
I live in Argentina where this gear is not so accessible. The policy of free shipping worldwide is really incredible. I had some issues with my main encoder in the play, and the team replied me really quickly and allways kindly. Also the forum moderators do a great job. @Sandroid you are a kind and amazing guy, I’ve learned a lot in your posts.
Yep, I agree that Polyend should be working in bug fixes. I also agree with the feeling of the half backed Play software. It amaze me that some evident bugs are there. I think that Polyend shoud focuse on quality, most of us use this machines to get away from the computers and their distractions. A fluid experience is important.
But this are machines… not guitars or pianos. I just bought the roland S 1 and in two days I found my way to make the system crash…
The most ironic folks… haven’t take the time to post a bug or share a good idea . Please dont become Trolls.
Having said that, please Polyend, fix the bugs!!
Love and peace out!
Speaking of surveys, it would be interesting to get an opinion from all the polyend play users, using emails and google forms. The forum is not representative clearly.
(no matter what it will show, it doesn’t mean that bugs folks are mentioning here are okay to live with)
From your experience, where are the users presented beyond this community?
Facebook, Reddit?
Outside of here, i’d say Reddit, various Facebook Groups and Elektronauts.
