I have a question about sysex, my play, and my new to me Roland JDXI.
It comes down to this (and I apologize if I’m messing up terms for certain things these are my first pieces of electronic music equipment and therefore first foray into midi at all) - there are many midi functions in my Roland’s midi implementation guide that say “will not work if such and such parameter (sysex) is off.” For example: if I want to change the bank via midi on the Roland it says “Not received when the Receive Bank Select parameter (SysEx) is OFF.”
Will the Play still be able to change the bank given the SysEx contingency my Roland would appear to have? I haven’t tried yet, the Roland is already ordered before I thought to look into this.
