Chord randomizer

In conjunction with the feature request for an arpeggiator (which is also in the wishlist), it would be interesting to add a feature that would generate random chord variations within a certain mode, that could then be played with an arpeggiator. Essentially taking inspiration from the Irijule “theoryboard” .

What is the problem?

When playing live with the “future!” Polyend play arpeggiator in a given mode and in a given root, it would be great to allow the user to add colors (complex chords) to the chord in a randomized fashion.

What do you want to achieve?

This type of automation would add variety to an arpeggiated sequence, while allowing the musician to focus their performance on other things, such as applying effects, switching from a variation to the next, or changing the harmony (changing root note and mode)

Are there any workarounds?

No workaround I can think of.

Any links to related discussions?

None

Any references to other products?

Inspiration can come from Irijule theoryboard, which introduces an interesting workflow to help a musician play around with complex chords in a given mode and root (and also an interesting workflow to change mode and roots). Especially when combined with an arpeggiator .

Hi @patrice.molinari Thanks for your contribution. Unfortunately, the wish doesn’t fit our current product design direction
