What is the problem?

Variations cannot be chained together like patterns at this time

What should this feature achieve?

The ability select a (chain variations) as an option to how the chain pattern plays now //

Are there any workarounds?

Non found but I suggest we be able to//

Similar to chaining patterns – it would be an extension to the pattern length of 64 steps that we have now –
It would give us 15 times more pattern length in how a pattern plays back which expands each block of the pattern chain by 15 times // toggle it on or off so we could use variations as we do now testing ideas // but with the ability to expand a pattern to play more than 64 steps if we want to // giving us The ability to have have multiple songs loaded - for a live situation //

Chained variations

What is the problem? When live recording an external instrument in MIDI mode, a single loop can be limiting. 64 steps doesn’t easily allow for creating a progression. What do you want to achieve? Take advantage of the available variations to keep recording MIDI notes beyond the first loop of a track. Record MIDI sequences into multiple variations slots, automatically switching to the next one, when the previous one is full/recorded. This way, chained variations could allow up to 1024 (64 x 16) …
