Bug: Can't copy FX without deleting existing notes

I try to copy the FX1 lane to another track as described in:

Hi, Im trying to copy fx step + value to existing steps with only notes. If i copy the fx steps it also copy the notes that i didnt select (i think) Can someone explain this the procedure or tell what im doing wrong? Thanks! Remy

I have the same issue as neilbaldwin.

When pasting the FX1 then the already existing notes disappear.

I didn’t see any follow up on that thread.

So I thought I’d raise it here as a bug

The solution is the next post in that thread. You have to hold Shift when you paste;

Copy fx lane only without notes

Hey there Remy, copy your steps as usual. to only paste the FX, you have to press: Shift + (FX1 or FX2) + Paste. You can’t paste both steps FX’s at the same time, but you can repeat the process without killing whatever you pasted previously. Btw, that obviously also works for Note (which is tied to the Instrument), allowing you to paste your copy without the FX data. Hope that helps

yeah did that. idk… I have to hold shift anyway to paste (there is no paste button, paste = shift + copy/paste button).

So I hold: shift + copy/paste + FX1

and the FX get pasted and the instruments and notes get deleted

It’s hold Shift, Hold the FX1 or FX2, and then press paste.

Huh! It looks like you’re doing all the steps right. I’m wondering if this is a thing that is impacting only the OG and not the Plus version. I’ll give it a go on the OG and get back to you ASAP.
