When the tracker mini is set to a tempo of 107 bpm or lower, the Play+ does not initiate when the transport is started from the mini, causing the Play’s sequences to be late. After these first 8 steps, the Play+ responds to external transport commands as expected.
Steps to Reproduce
Connect and set up the tracker mini to lead the Play+ midi clock and transport.
Set the tempo of the mini to 107 bpm or lower
Press play on the tracker mini
Notice that the Play+ does not begin it’s sequence until the first 8 steps are played on the tracker mini. If the user stops the the sequence once the Play+ initiates, it will then begin the sequence at the appropriate time when started again by the tracker mini. Tempos of 108 bpm and higher will start without issue.
Hi @Origami_Poltergeist.
Sorry for such a late answer. I was trying to reproduce this issue, but on my setup, Play+ starts its sequence as soon as I hit play on my Mini. There is no delay.
Could you make a video of this issue on your side?
Thanks!
I hope gifs are alright I also wanted to give a little extra detail about the last comment in the report where the Play+ initiates as expected after this particular hurdle, as this occurs only on power up and after project loads on it. Oddly enough, if I catch it before 8 steps, I can keep it “stuck” in this action until the 8 steps are played. Oh, and just in case it’s relevant, I’m using a simple 1.5ft TRS cables for the midi jacks. Hope this helps!
@Origami_Poltergeist Thanks for the gif. I’ve managed to reproduce it.
We will investigate and try to fix it with the upcoming firmware updates!
Thanks!
