BPM / song lock

I think an option to be able to lock all knobs on a per song basis would be great!What is the problem?

I have my step as master and several devices slaved to it—works amazing! Live, when I dial up a song there’s no assurance that the BPM saved with the song can’t get accidentally jostled, throwing samples out of sync.

What should this feature achieve?

For live performance, an option to dial up a song with tempo locked, disabling the tempo pot for that song, would avoid many potential problems.

Are there any workarounds?

Currently I save the song name as + . Live, I dial up the next song and doublecheck the tempo and volume. If I hit ‘next pattern’ clumsily, or anyone treads or jostles it, both volume and treble pots can throw everything out. A quick knob twiddling and restart of song pattern is the current solution.

Tempo Lock Function

What is the problem? I often accidentally touch the Step’s tempo knob — much more often than I’d like! It would be great to have an option to lock the tempo, especially when the Step is placed on the floor. What should this feature achieve? A Tempo Lock would make the Step more reliable and performance-friendly. It prevents accidental tempo changes, helping users stay focused on playing and creativity instead of readjusting settings.
