Bell Filter in instrument parameters

Hey Polyend team and community,
I love the Tracker for its retro simplicity, but like many, I sometimes struggle with frequency accumulation in mixes. What if we added a “bell” type to the existing filters (LP, HP, BP)? It would repurpose the current parameters: cutoff for the center freq, and RES as gain +/- (centered at 0, like -12dB for notch, +6dB for boost), with a fixed Q of 1 to keep it light.
It would fit perfectly with the minimalist vision, without new menus – just an extension of the step FX tools to target problematic fundamentals. Not a full EQ, but a handy thing for clean patterns without exporting all the time.
What do you think? is it feasible from a technical point of view? Upvote if you like it, and let’s chat!

and my apologies if the same idea has already been suggested

Hey there @asot.studiosortilege. Wanted to give you a warm welcome to Backstage

It’s your lucky day because we have a system here for anyone to create a Feature Requests. If you follow the link below and create a new topic, you’ll go through the few steps of the process. After that, people here on backstage can vote on it.
