Beat Slice issue

I am just figuring out how to use the Tracker Mini and am having an issue with Beat Slice.

I recorded a sample and opened it in the beat slice mode and put in a couple slices. I then expected to go into the pattern editor and be able to input those slices using, for example - C2, D2, E2 or whatever.

No matter what note i enter, it always seems to be playing the LAST slice. This is either using the note input beta feature or just entering the values in manually. Only one slice will play no matter what.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try a lower octave.

Thank you! The manual says the slices are assigned starting at C2… but I switched to C1 and now I can play them.
