Using Polyend play (OG) to send midi clock and note data to Polyend synth. When synth engine has an arp activated, the note trigger is delayed by one step. When arp is not active, the note triggers on time.
Steps to Reproduce
Set polyend play midi clock out to midi jack out
Set polyend play midi transport out to midi jack out
Hey @lucas.awesome, welcome to backstage. Really good to have you hear
Sorry, your report slipped a bit through the cracks. Appreciate the video and the time you took to log the bug.
Have you tried turning on Wait for Start? In the MIDI menu, you have a “Wait for Start (Ext Transport In) option which is off in your video. Turning this on enables the synth to respond to external MIDI transport messages.
If that doesn’t solve your syncing issues, I’m happy to help dive deeper
One thing I am curious about; Are you using the MIDI adapters that came w/ the Synth and Play? If not, could you describe how you’re connecting the two via MIDI Jack?
I’m using the type B midi adapters that came with the polyend play and polyend synth. Like I said in the video, the error only occurs when an ARP is engaged on polyend synth. When the arp is turned off, the midi triggered notes hit accurately.
Just following up. Although not directly represented here on Backstage, this bug has been logged very specifically to your same issue. I’ll tag it as a duplicate and share the information you provided in the original report.
Thanks again for you time to make the instruments we love even better!
