Any recs for midi mergers?

I have to devices I’d like to be readily accessible as MIDI in to my Play+ and other instruments in the chain. I already have a Morningstar Midi Box which does a great job blasting midi from one source to others. Before that box id like a merger that can take multiple inputs and merge them as the midi IN. I’ll mostly be using either source at once, not both at the same time, if that makes any difference.

Amazon has a “DoreMidi” Merge 3 and U6 Midi Pro as first results for “midi merge.” Anyone using these or can recommend another device?

I use those from midi solutions…

What about something like the Blokas Midihub?

  • Can run standalone
  • fully configurable (stores 8 presets)
  • if you ever want to use your computer in the mix, that works as well

Such a beast!

I love it and couldn’t live without it anymore!

got it couple of months ago. I was really, really surprised it has so little attention. the only major downside for me is that only 8 presets available (instead of common 127 for many midi devices). too many possibilities for just 8.

Morningstar’s MIDI box is also great, 8 TRS outs, switchable type A/B, midi thru.

Kenton
…might cost a little more but they are durable and rocksolid when it comes to timing etc, and they have been in the game for decades.
They do mergers, splitters and any kind of MIDI/CV utilites you can think of.

+1
I have a Kenton midi merge 4 which works perfectly!
But I am contemplating the midihub to expand my routing

The IOS app AUM has great midi routing capabilities.

I recently grabbed a cme u6midipro, catchy name  Its an excellent cheap little device available same day on amazon (uk). It has I think 3 presets for different setups, can be set to filter or route midi messages however you want, route between 3 in & 3 out midi ports & 3 usb ports and you configure it with an app switch between your presets with the click of a button.
For the money its awesome. I use 2 of them with 2 monome norns(sheilds), they add easy usb midi to the norns at the same time.

I also have a deftaudio 8x8 that i built a few years back, that makes an amazing midi router/filter/anything you want
