Mess 1.2.0 has officially arrived. The new track trails modes can create some very interesting sound design possibilities beyond just trails on bypass.
NEW FEATURES
- Per Track Trails
- Access the new Trails config in Menu > Trails
- 3 per-track options, saved per preset:
- Off: no trails (default behavior prior to 1.2)
- Only Trails: dry signal is cut on inactive steps. With 100% effect mix only the trails will be audible even with gaps in a sequence. Good for parallel effects and repeat patterns.
- Trails & Dry: effect tails keep decaying on inactive steps, dry signal passess on all step. A reverb on steps 1-4 will continue to ring out without re-feeding the tank on empty steps
- Bypass Trails
- Toggle Bypass Trails On/Off globally in Menu > Trails
- Sequencer Parameter Retention
- Sequencer steps no longer reset effect parameters when changing effects
- Turn this behavior On/Off in Menu > Clean Seq on FX
- Off by default
- Main Output Control
- Master output level is now controllable via the macro knob, CC#92, or an expression pedal
- Tempo Display
- Tap the Tempo encoder on the main screen to show the current BPM
